“MSG: Contacting Server” for College Networks - Ventrilo 3 Problems.

24 11 2007

Update #1: My post was removed minutes after submitting it.

Just learned that the Ventrilo support forums is not the place to ask for support requests. I viewed this move as very unprofessional considering the following:

  1. The only method of support on Ventrilo is through these forums
  2. Server companies are not trained to handle such issues
  3. There companies that do only Ventrilo hosting, I seriously suggest they look into backup solutions should Flagship Industries cease to operate for whatever reason or even just lose client appeal. (Back to Business101)

If you’re anything like me, in a dorm situation using the Cisco URT Client, the new release of ventrilo is dead in the water and will not connect to any servers. Don’t have a solution. Sorry. But If you want to do something about it, make it known that you’re having this problem over at the Ventrilo Forums at THIS POST.
