I just recently got my server from server beach and I’m pretty happy with it so far. Support called me only an hour or so after the order went in to confirm my order and within 4 hours it was setup and ready for me to play with. I’ll be moving this blog over to it soon from my 1 & 1 shared account.

Up to March 2008, Server Beach hosted YouTube since they first started development. I guess Google has their own datacenters maybe?

So if you’re looking to start up your own company and you like the unmanaged server route, I definitely suggest Server Beach and I consider them a top notch hosting company. And for me, who hasn’t moved from his cheap-o website hosting perch in over 3 years - My first and only dedicated server is a dinky celeron based in a backwoods datacenter in Atlanta, but it was $60/mo, so I took it - That’s saying a lot.
